Robert Towne

A wizard 🪄 wordsmith ~RIP~

#RobertTowne

The other day…someone that showed the 🌍 how to write ✍️ a fantastic film ( whether as a whole or as a script doctor that pieces together what others could not) sadly passed away. His name was Robert Towne, I ( personally ) loved Tequila Sunrise ( not just the drink 🥃) a late 1980s film 📽️ ( other people will say they enjoyed Chinatown ( also another masterpiece)… I found his work fascinating, eclectic , driven , captivating, (full of) bravado & absolutely 2nd to none. Writing is not all about the youth filled observations of J.D Salinger, the eloquent words of William Shakespeare or the formable directness of Ayn Rand…

Sometimes it's about a man that is capable of doing all that but instead of a novella , book 📖 or a variety of plays 📚…he decides to take his talent to the big screen. This does not make him any less of a good writer that one can't respect. You respect his dance with the devil dialogue that spoke to many people.

~ Rest ~ in ~ Peace~ …Mr. Robert Towne

Now the angels 😇 get to read your cultivating yet rational conversations between man & woman …while floating on clouds. With that being said …does anyone have a favorite written ✍️ piece done by this man?
